About
A closer look
I do card magic the way it was meant to be done — inches from your face, with cards you shuffled yourself, and nothing hidden but the mechanics of the moves. No patter about ancient mystics, no smoke. Just very close attention to a very small object, and what that attention can do to a room.
I've been at this for six years now, and for the last three of them I've made my living the hardest way there is: performing at a farmers market, for strangers, for tips. No stage, no captive audience, no guarantee anyone stops walking. If the trick doesn't land, nobody pays and nobody stays. That's not a comfortable way to learn magic — but it's the only way to actually get good at it. Every routine on this site has been tested against people who had every reason to walk away and didn't.
I work private events, weddings, parties, corporate functions, and restaurants, and I teach a small number of private lessons for people who want to get genuinely good at this rather than learn a party trick.
